This is a fundraising product; a portion of the proceeds from each sale of these T's benefits the Wasps Women's 2022/23 squad's operating costs. This limited edition collection is available by pre-order only, and only until March 31, 2023!
THE WHY:
Wasps Women’s Rugby are currently fundraising to cover costs of their remaining 2022/23 season, and we’ve collaborated on a limited edition collection in order to help raise both those funds and awareness!
The Wasps Women’s Rugby Legacy collection is a nod to “Once a Wasp, Always a Wasp”. The idea that once you’re a part of a rugby community, you’re always a member, is a common concept across our beautiful game, and it’s certainly true for the Wasps Women’s community.
The team boasts a long and rich history; they currently play in the Allianz Prem15's, and have been a fixture in the top flight of women's rugby in England since 1985. When Wasps Rugby went into administration earlier this season, the club was purchased by new ownership, saving the men’s team, but with the purchase not coming in time to do the same for the women. As a result, not only will Wasps Women struggle financially for the remainder of the season, they have additionally lost their place in the Prem15's going forwards into next season, ending a 37-year top flight women's rugby tradition.
Their fundraising effort aims to support the playing group through travel costs, physio and medical support, and post-match meals for the remainder of the season. The intention is to allow the playing group to play the best rugby they can, and help set them up for a continued career in the Allianz Prem 15's in whichever teams they may move to next season.
Our hope is that this collection not only helps raise some needed funds for the team, but also provides something for anyone who is, or has been, part of the Wasp Women’s community to wear as a show of support and togetherness.
PLEASE NOTE that this product is a PRE-ORDER item. Your garment will not ship immediately. Delivery dates are dependent on the quantity of orders (we’re a small business, and sometimes need extra time when order volumes are up to get everything printed and packed!). The cut-off date to order your Legacy items by is March 31, 2023.
FABRICATION:
Part of our premium line, the Stadium T is cut from soft, smooth, 100% organic cotton. They’re midweight jersey, prewashed, and feel incredible- sure to be your new favourite.
FIT:
The Stadium T is Tomboy fit- a little less fitted, a little roomier. As for sizing, pick whatever size you’d normally take in a unisex top, or size up for oversized slouchy vibes!
